Shiba Crayton is the managing member of Crayton Law, PLLC. She is a born advocate and believes in allowing every person the chance to excel. She spent over 20 years as a licensed social worker, nearly ten of those as a Compliance Manager. She is well versed in training in employment-related issues including sexual harassment, Family Medical Leave Act, and confidentiality. Her years as a medical social worker and as a Health Equity Analyst has equipped her with experience with public health regulations, epidemiology, HIPAA, social justice reform, anti-trust, and kick-back laws. She has experience in writing and revising employee manuals, policies and procedures while being in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Shiba Crayton holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Houston and is a December 2017 cum laude graduate of South Texas College of Law Houston with a concentration in health law. Shiba Crayton worked at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston as a researcher in developmental pediatrics before launching her social work career. While in law school she was named a Marshall-Brennan Fellow, where she taught Yes-Prep High School Students Constitutional Law and legal advocacy. She also served on the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work Alumni Board for five years.

Shiba Crayton is married and is the mother of two children. She helps take care of the family’s dog Roxy, cat Charlie, and two geckos, Milo and Shilo. She lives in Katy, Texas, but is proud of her rural Texas upbringing. Crayton has a zeal for serving underrepresented groups demonstrated by years of experience training and working with diverse populations. This life passion prompted her pursuit of a law degree. Her experiences and values align with a service-oriented attitude, and she is interested in applying her leadership and analytical skills to help address your needs. She aims to provide each client with a down-home, personal, yet professional experience.
